Does anyone know a single mums group in Walthamstow or near?

I am quite new to Walthamstow and have a two year old d. Are there any single mum/parent groups in this area? I can drive if not so close..already going to some great playgroups and dd due to start nursery three times a week soon. But would be nice to talk to some single parents- everyone I meet seems to be married!

Have you tried Gingerbread? (gingerbread.org.uk). Just had a quick look and there's a group in Waltham Forest. Is this near you? You can search for groups by postcode.

There's also the Single Parent Travel Club (sptc.org.uk). This is a group of single parents who organise meet ups, days out and holidays for each other. You can either join a trip and meet new people or organise an outing that you want to do and post it to see if anyone else wants to come along! Very good way to meet other single parents. I've had lots of holidays this way.
