Sorry the inevitable - are you entitled to working tax, housing benefit etc if you move in with your new partner who earns above the thresholds or will they just take into account my salary and the maintenance my Ex pays for the DCs.

Thanks

As far as I know, it's based on household income and you and your partner will be treated as "married or living as a married couple".

As an aside, I don't think maintenance comes into play when it comes to benefits?

as the pp said - for tax credits once you are living together as a couple your previous single claim ends and you need to start a joint claim - which will be based on your joint income.

child maintenance isn't taken into account as income for tax credit purposes.
