just had a lovely email telling me I have won £57 on the lottery. Would love to be reckless and buy a bottle of vino and drink it tonight however, I can't leave the house because I have small child. Anyone else get pissed off that their Ex can swan about doing what he likes etc while you do all the hard graft and boring stuff. I understand we have a lot of the good stuff too but boy what I wouldn't give right now to just be able to stroll up to shop and get some wine and then come back and watch some crap tele with a glass of vino in hand......

Been a tough few days. Never mind it has only been 4 months since he left and it is already better most days.............

Don't normally post here but round here the chinese and curry delivery services will bring you food and drink!!!

Can you do that?

I guess it wasn't really advice of that type you were after more of a moan and yes that does sound annoying.

Happylander · 26/02/2012 19:24

LOL. I have no idea whether they do and don't even know if they do deliveries of food let alone wine as never used them. Sounds fab though.

If your close, I'll drop one round. I often do it for friends that have the vino craving but can't get out for whatever reason.

Where are you roughly?

Happylander · 26/02/2012 19:29

bythemoonlight how lovely are you. I am in Peacehaven but I don't expect you to drop me one round. x

Ah, I'm about 2hrs away Sad

Shame as I would love to live that close to the coast!

Maybe give SardineQueen's idea a go?

Happylander · 26/02/2012 19:33

The coast is lovely. I have the sea one end of my road and farming fields the other end. My DS and the daft dog loves both. Where are you?

I'm in ugly Reading.

The sea is at least an hour away Sad

Very jealous!!!

One day ...

Happylander · 26/02/2012 19:36

Hmm yeah Reading not the prettiest. Do you have to stay in Reading? Which bit of sea would you move near if you could up sticks and go anywhere?

We would give anything to move ... but house prices have dropped so we are almost in neg equity, and there's also the job shortage problem.

I love Cornwall, it's so beautiful but a bit too isolated so probably the Devon/Dorset area.

I have never been over to your part of the world Blush Although we having a night in Hastings in June, going to Drussilas and hopefully if the weather is nice, spend the following day in Camber Sands.

We had a bit of sunshine the other day and I wished I could take the girls down to the beach. Like I said, very jealous!

SardineQueen · 26/02/2012 19:55

DO IT DO IT!!!

Plenty deliver to peacehaven, if you say you want to order some food and a bottle of wine I bet they'll be cheerful!

Then put on a crappy film and enjoy it with a selection of indian delicacies Grin

Gwan you know you want to...

SardineQueen · 26/02/2012 19:57

Oh hold on I've bungled it, I liked the look of the Shaan but I think they are too far away after all Sad

Soz about that Thanks

Happylander · 26/02/2012 20:01

Lovely idea sardinequeen but I am being reckless wanting to spend a fiver on vino as I have lots of other things I need to spend the money on so I can't stretch to a take away. Would be lovely though. What makes it even worse is this is Ex's contact weekend but he refused to come see DS otherwise I would have been able to go up the shops LOL

SardineQueen · 26/02/2012 20:03

Oh that is a pisser.
Do it tomorrow?
Keep some in stock for the future Wink

And congrats on your WIN!!!!

Happylander · 26/02/2012 20:06

Thank you. It was a shame it wasn't the big one though. Work a 12 hour shift on Tuesday and far far too old to drink the night before that now as it is just far too painful but will get a bottle in for when I get home from that on Tuesday and have a good long soak in the bath Grin

Think of the positives

  1. You won't have a fuzzy head tomorrow
  2. You won't have drunk lots of useless calories
  3. You will still have £57 extra tomorrow not £52 or less
  4. You can go out tomorrow and get a bottle of your choice if you have the inclination
  5. You can use the money as you say for things you need to get
Smile
Happylander · 26/02/2012 20:10

Yeah I know the positives out weigh the glass or 3 of vino but ooooh a lovely cold glass of Sav Blanc would go down so well right now lol
