Am I strange?

I've been single for about a year now. And I like it. I don't miss having a man around the house, and I can't even begin to imagine ever having someone live with me again. I like my life, I have my kids most of the time, ex has them now and then, and generally I'm ok.

But I see other people starting new relationships, folks are always saying I should get out or join things like Match.com, but I just don't want to.

Am I strange? Confused

Nope, unless I am too.

I have been single for nearly a year too, DD's stay at exps 2 nights a week, DS is with me all the time.

I am busy with work and college, and trying to finish the house renovation.

I am happier in myself, and with my life than I have been for a long time. DS is too, and DD's are doing ok.

I am not saying I am against men, if a nice one came along and wanted to spend time with me, I wouldn't run away; but I totally do't feel the need to be in a relationship to complete my life.

Well Froggies either we're both strange or we're the norm and no one else will admit it!!

Me too & it's been 5 years. I certainly don't want to do internet dating, had a look & thought that's not for me!!

I was really happily single for 4 years.... wish I'd stayed that way too! I loved my life back then, loved where I worked and lived and had a great social life.

I am now single again after attempting a relationship and I honestly cannot wait to feel that contentment again. Seems better to strive for that (happiness on my own) then happiness because of some one else
