where can I get affordable legal advice?

I am thinking of leaving my husband and I need advice. I am not from the UK so very confused with how the system works and what my rights are...

I am very worried about coping on my own. I have stopped working and have a newborn and a toddler, so I just don't know how I would make ends meet..and I am pretty sure that my broke husband would not help pay anything.

How can I find some solid legal advice, without a high cost

Start with CAB (Citizen's Advice Bureau) most towns have one.

They are free.

phone round some solicitors -most give the first 30 mins/hour for free in the hope that you will use them. You may qualify for legal advice. Good luck x

the Reunite helpline is good
The Rights of Women helpline if you can get through (check their website for times)
