Maintenance and new partners

I have a new partner, we are discussing moving in together but not until end of summer. As far as maintenance goes, will my new partner affect what my exH pays?

No, his income will not be taken into account. It's between you and EXH.

Purpleroses · 09/11/2011 18:48

Not unless you want it to. You and your ex can agree between you what he pays. If you've gone via the CSA it will depend only on what your ex earns, not on how much you earn or have access to.

no. your new partner is not responsible for financially supporting your children. not in the eyes of CSA et all anyway.

It will not affect what you ExH pays for your children, but if he pays YOU spousal maintenence it MAY be affected by a new partner co-habiting with you .

No unless you want it to. When dp and I knew that we had made a life long commitment to each other he also wanted to take on a financial responsibility for dd. gradually dd's father reduced his maintenance.
