CSA - Travel Expenses

Does anyone know roughly what percentage the CSA deducts from monthly payment for travel expenses? I'm trying to work out what my Ex should be paying but but he does have far to travel to see our DSs so would expect to have an amount taken off to cover those expenses.

Do they deduct anything at all? DP flies over 200 miles every fortnight and stays in a hotel so he can see his DD. Her mum still gets 15% of his income and we wouldn't expect anything different. The cost of raising a child doesn't go down because her dad has to travel to see her.

Unfortunately piellabakewell he can apply to CSA for a reduction due to travel expenses. I think its anything over 30 miles that they will make a deduction for. Currently my Ex doesn't claim this - travels even further than 200 miles - but he could do. I'm thinking about applying for a review of his earnings but know its very likely he'll apply for the expenses deduction. I wish my Ex understood maintenance in the way your partner does!

They don't take money off the maintenance itself, they take money off the amount of income they use to assess for CM iyswim. So if his net income is £200 pw and his travel expenses are £20 per week, they only assess his CM on £180 pw? Something like that anyway, I think the expenses have to be over a certain amount before they'll do it. The NRP has to apply for it as a variation, it's not an automatic part of the assessment afaik.

Thanks ThisIsExtremelyVeryNotGood. Do you know if there is a maximum amount they will take off?
