can i change solicitors under legal aid?

my solicitor is not very helpful. i dont know if i can contact another one who offers legal aid and change over to them? anyone know? thanks

Yes you can, but not many solicitors do legal aid these days. I've just sent one of my clients off to a legal aid practice (he lost his job and couldn't afford to keep paying privately), and he has to wait till 11 August for an initial appointment.

Is it worth giving your solicitor a second chance? I wasn't that impressed with mine first time but the second time he was much more helpful and I've got more confidence in him now. If you go to another solicitor you will have to start all over again with telling him what is happening.

i rang another one today, already she seems much better. and there are loads of legal aid ones in cardiff!!
