To pay for the ex's card and Fathers Day present.

Not that they were expensive, but it just stuck in my craw to buy them.

Kids wanted to get him something, it was the "right" thing to do, but it got up my nose

Anyone else feel the same?

I know what you mean. My dc2 does ABA so he only has 6 in his 'class'. Most of what he does is on his own yet he still came home a father's day card.

my dc1 is in a class of 26 and two others (that I know of don't have fathers under the roof anyway). So that's 3 out of 26... is that about 11% of the class then?? and yet they all have to sit down and do a fathers day card. HAVE to. Year in. Year out.

My kids dont get pocket money

My kids didn't even mention it. They didn't make cards at school but ex gave them money to buy him a card and present. He then insisted on taking loads of pics, which will no doubt be used to show little Miss Awesome in his ongoing portrayal of himself as Mr Amazing Father Wink
Eldest was very proud of the fact that she bought him the cheapest card she could find and also bought him HER favourite chocolate.
