Booked our holiday with SWK, eeeek!

Feeling very nervous, first holiday without exH and just me and two Dc, 5 and 3. We are going to Majorca with single with kids thanks to the recommendations on this board... Still panicking, lots of money but the three of us need to do this, it will have been a year since we separated...

But... Yikes!

Good for you. Have a fab time - with some sunshine, a pool and access to ice cream the DC's will be happy as anything Smile. Not to mention the excitement of the airport (my 4 and 2 yr olds LOVE the whole airport thing)

I went to Majorca last year with them on my first SWK holiday last year! I had the best time. The co-ordinator made me feel so welcome and really bonded us as a group so much much so that I am meeting up with two of my friends this year on SWK holidays. We went on a couple of trips when we were there, had an amazing party on the beach one night. My children still talk about the holiday now. I know that it is the same resort (a really quiet place with a lovely feel but they have booked a better hotel (4star this year i think) the trips last year were to the caves, a boat trip, and to a water park (we went on the boat trip and the water park which were excellent) The beach is lovely. I highly recommend the holiday. If you haven't already check out the feedback on the site for that holiday.

I think nearer the time Chrissie (its her company) gives you the option of swapping mobile numbers with people on the same flight so you can meet them at the airport if you want.

I was on a private transfer with another lady to the hotel so we had a good chat and our boys were already buddies when they arrived.

On our holiday there was a real friendly/helpful feel so if people popped to the shops they asked if you needed anything so you didn't have to drag your kids away from the pool, or we bought shared rubber rings and air beds to keep the cost down, and one person brought with them a portable dvd player for their child but my daughter used it as well. That kind of thing.

which of the weeks are you going on?

I booked my holiday after a recommendation on here. Best thing i did.

I think the testimonials on SingleWithKids speak for themselves. Parents seem to have loved the Majorca holiday last year.

Really good to know, thank you! I've got a good feeling about it, I like that we can be alone if we want but don't have to.. My first one alone so quite nervous.
