So bored

Almost always on my own these days and am bored and a tad lonely. How do I make it through next BH weekend when this one is turning out to be so difficult.

Kids away and I've been on my own since Friday - in my own middle-aged social death.

Has anyone any ideas of places I can go to chat on-line and cheer up my evenings?

hi teahouse - you sound like me. i tend to spend most of my time working one way or another. have a demanding job and can work as many hours as i like and have various hobbies that could easily become full time if i didnt need to work so many hours - and so it goes on.
i too get bored and lonely and as my kids are about grown - one working away, one at uni and one home but working - then even my parenting skills are less needed.
i'm not really helping am i...i too am erm...middle aged and after 16 years as a single parent - and a bloke - have few social skills, and those i have i dont want to use incase i wear them out:o
anyway - as for your question - i have no idea...tho theres always here:o

2DC's - 1 away at Uni and the other in the throws of GCSE's so as with James, my parents skills aren't rellay needed that much (although my taxi skills are!).

Need some motivation I think and kind of consoling to know I'm not alone (thanks James).

hope the hols have been good teahouse - dont recall the last time i had one, the best i get is long weekends. tho the summer is almost here so is to be hoped we both find the motivation we need - in my case a kick in the backside:o

Holiday times are difficult, luckily for me my best friend is a single dad of 2 and so we do stuff together with and without our kids (range from 11 - 18 years old).

Funny, when your kids are younger you yearn for a bit of freedom but when you get it you want your kids around more.......cant win can we.

And in answer to your question, I am not sure where you can go apart from on here.
