moving tomorrow!!

well,for those that don't remember me i separated from husband Jan 2nd,have been living with my 4 sons in our navy quarter and had 93 days to find somewhere to live.

Well,been a busy girl and we are moving out tomorrow!!

Really very nervous about going it alone,feels a huge responsibility with my boys all depending on me.

wish me luck...once i've worked out the broadband i'll come back and tell you how it went.

I'll be around today though,i'm all packed so will try to relax and mumsnet a bit Smile

Thanks to all you lovely people on MN for the sound advice you've given me so far,it's been a great help to me.

Good luck with the move and a whole new fresh start. Loads of us are going it alone and yes the responsbility can feel immense at times but we all seem to muddle through. Hope you get your broadband sorted pronto x

I was on one of your very early posts, but have namechanged since! How did you get on, did you manage to get into private rented at all? It really is amazing that you have managed to sort all of this out and it's great to hear that you have come back to tell us you are ok

Hi,yes i was very lucky and found private rent in my town,which was very important to me as my boys are very settled in their school and one of my sons has dyslexia and is getting alot of support.

One of my sons goes to comp in September and one starts big school so an important time for them.

My landlord does not allow pets in his properties but kindly made an exception for me to keep one of my small dogs Smile we had to re-home our other small but very lively dog and our beautiful cat Sad.but we count ourselves very lucky that he has let us rent from him.

I have enjoyed being on my own since new year,i'm a million times happier and getting back to my old happy self,just very nervous about tomorrow and really hope the boys settle in well,my one son is unsettled by change.

It has been a busy nearly 3 months but i have had lots of advice from mn and the staff at the council have been friendly and supportive,i've also had great support from the Navy with advice re housing etc...

Next chapter here we come!! thanks for remembering me Smile

and you will be able to figure out the broadband no trouble.....single parents are good like that!!
