have taken £59 out of my bank account and i haevn't used the site for nearly a year! and i had cancelled it through the site. so i need some advice as to what to do next - the banlk cannot stop it because i gave my debit card details and the only thing that they could suggest was to stop my card which is NOT an option this week due to moving house. is there anything else i can do????

You should contact zoosk. I thought it was a free site??

you can pay to use more services, as with other sites. i think i will have to - it's not on, is it really? their unauthorised withdrawal made me go ver my overdraft and now i will have to pay charges

Yes contact Zoosk & if they are difficult about it mention that you are considering contacting the Financial Services Ombudsman (even if you're not). This tactic got a very quick response from a mobile phone company who were taking insurance that I hadn't authorised. Good Luck.

Have you spoken to trading standards? (it's called something else now I think). Your bank should be helping, it's stealing money out of your account after all. I'd put this thread in legal as it should get more replies.

surely regardless if you gave them your details a year ago, if you didnt authorise the recent payment the bank should allow you to do a charge back.

I went with zoosk for a month(paid then changed my mind, i cancelled both subscription and then account, had to do both separately) and havnt had any payments since so hopefully it was a system glitch or something, rather than a scam of some sort..

good luck and keep us informed!
