Have been off on maternity leave for 10 lovely months, was told by jobcentre I would be 50 quid a week better off going back to work part time. Now back, and got tax credit award in, only 20 quid a week better off!!
What would you do? Stay or Go?

It depends on if you are happy with your job and child care arrangements.

If I was happy at my job, I'd stick with it. With the intention of increasing my hours once my child started nursery / pre-school.

At least you are not out of pocket, but maybe you should check with the job centre again to see where the other money you were meant to get has gone!

Yeah I agree. If you are enjoying having a life back again and are happy with your current arrangement then keep going. If you would be happier at home bringing up your child then go for it. Just a reminder thought that they are not long in growing up so enjoy baby while you can. I blinked and my eldest is 4.5.

Its my job from pre pregnancy, its very stressful with long travel there and back, I might just try for something local and that would cut down my travel expenses and hopefully less stress (not fussed what I do). My mum watches the wee man so no worries or expense there (thanks mum x)
