Anybody here a member of FNF? I need a bit of help.

I feel a bit embarrased about asking for this favour but unfortunately my family finances have touched rock bottom this month and although I would like to join, I need to decide whether I can/should do it precisely this month.

A friend has asked me to be a Mckenzie friend, I know that FNF did offer Litigant In Person Support Workshops last year, but I can't find in the site if they are still doing them. I suppose that if there are new workshops scheduled they would be advertised, probably, in the area restricted to members only.

I understand that the courses are £30, and the subscription another £39. So... I feel a bit bad about paying the membership right now, when I'm struggling, just to find out that there are no workshops this year.

Could somebody check for me if they have any workshops available in the next few months?

Many Thanks.

My Husband recently acted as a litigant in person and got all the info he needed from the meetings themselves and he says you dont need to be a member to go along to these.

Cant sing the praises of FNF enough, made such a difference to our family life :) :) :)

Thank you for asking him about it :-)

There are no meetings in my city. I am also very interested in attending both modules of those workshops, as I have had a lot of support from many organisations when sorting my own case, but I would like to give back a bit of what I received (and learned) through all these years. So, if I do the course, in addition to help my friend, I could volunteer to help others.

The information I could get from the website is here but there is no information about incoming ones.

Hi. I've been advised by a memeber that
"there are no workshops arranged at present; they are nopt restricted to FNF members either. Not sure is/when they might resume."

What is FNF?

gillybean2 · 26/01/2011 16:02

Families Need Fathers - It's a charity which aims to help families keep in touch with children after separation and supports shared parenting.

Many thanks Gillybean, that is very helpful. Guess I need to head to the library then.

Many thanks.
