I want to buy a trendy t shirt for my bf 15 year old son - was thinking Bench or Timberland? Is that what a 15 year old would wear?

Top Man, Zara, Blue Inc

evolucy7 · 09/12/2010 22:39

Does your boyfriend know what he likes?

TrappedinSuburbia · 09/12/2010 23:01

Unless you really know his style then I would suggest a voucher, I would but then I lived with him for 4 years, I've lost track of what he wears nowadays (only see him in work clothes) so he's on a voucher this year.

Saying that, think Bench is ok for teenager, don't know about timberland, is that maybe a wee bit old fashioned for a teen?

River island, topman, superdry, burton

Hassledge · 10/12/2010 08:51

Superdry seems v. popular

gillybean2 · 10/12/2010 21:55

Round here the only thing I hear being asked for is fat face. But that might just be because they opened a shop nearby recently.

kalo12 · 10/12/2010 21:59

i have nephews this age and wouldn't risk clothes - although would say superdry is safest bet

exexpat · 10/12/2010 23:08

I wouldn't dare buy anything to wear for my just-turned-16 nephew, even though I know him quite well. He only wears t-shirts he orders direct from the websites of obscure bands, and I haven't seen him in anything from a recognisable brand for a couple of years. I think he would be mortally offended if I bought him something from fatface (that's what his parents wear).

I think style is deeply personal and a bit of a minefield for that age - I'd go with cash or a voucher, or something tangible that he doesn't have to wear.

QueenofWhatever · 11/12/2010 11:19

Yes, lots of subtribes at that age. Superdry might be super cool or sartorial death.

MrsS01 · 11/12/2010 15:39

Right, teenage boy sorted - he likes superdry so have gone with that.

Now what about the 10 year old girl? Got a CD - but having second thoughts as I got Take That as it was number 1 - but maybe a bit too old for her? Also want to spend £10 - thinking maybe hat, scarf from new look? Or pj's? Bit boring though so any ideas?
