Feeling triumphant!!!

After over four years of fighting, including numerous regular phone calls to a variety of case workers and three letters to my MP, yesterday I received five (yes five!) letters from the CSA to say that DS's dad has been re-assessed and DS will soon be getting the maintenance that he's entitled to. Shock There were so many times I felt like I was banging my head against a brick wall and questioned many times whether the stress of chasing the CSA was worth it, but it was. I feel triumphant! Grin Apparently they will send a letter (probably five!) soon to tell me when to expect payment to commence. Just hoping Ratbag pays up now, or I'll be back to sqare one again!

Thanks. To be fair the problem was mainly with my ex evading the CSA, rather than the CSA themselves, although they needed a kick up the arse many times!

Congratulations CubaCat!

I hope you'll be able to treat yourself and your DS when you finally get some money - take a photo and send it to Ratbag Grin

Well done...could I ask is this anthing to do with being self-employed or a wholly owned company as I could do some with some exper advice from someone has got it sorted Grin

Corlan - can't send him a pic as I have no idea where he lives Hmm

Evolucy7 - no, it was nothing like that. He's just a slimy toad who refused to give CSA any details for years, kept changing jobs to avoid them assessing him and only got his arse into gear after he was taken to court. I'd recommend writing to your MP outlining your issues and they will contact CSA on your behalf. Your case then moves to a section at the CSA just for people who've complained to their MP & they will escalate it. Warning: it may take time - I first wrote to my MP in Feb 2007 & have chased them regularly.

Thanks for that, yes contacting my MP is next on the list!
Why are there so many men like this out there? Even if they think they are just pissing us off by not supporting their children, aside from the money, that can affect the children if it means you are stressed! Angry
