Ex and I split back in March but I have only just moved out into a new place with DS, ex got a new girlfriend back in June/July time and we managed to keep the situation low key as she wasn't allowed to come round etc.

Now that I have moved out she is round his house all the time (fair enough), ex wants to have DS this weekend and that is fine by me. This is our first weekend using this arrangement (I moved out last week) and DS is going to stay the night tonight and tomorrow. However ex wants his girlfriend to stay over tomorrow night as well. DS will sleep in ex's room, as will the new girlfriend.

Is it reasonable of me to say no to this? I am trying to keep a level headed view on this and not include my feelings but this new ground for me.

I would appreciate some opinions! thanks xx

if you're not comfortable with it then say no! your ex should respect your wishes. he can have his girlfriend round whenever he wants, so one night without her won't make a difference

I would find that strange and me and my ex split two years ago! But he hasn't had a girlfriend yet...

On the one hand it is something you will have to deal with sooner or later but on the other it is all very new now and no doubt uncomfortable for you.

I would feel better if your ds was in a separate room.

good points, thanks guys. He seems to think that she is the one - personally I don't because I know both of them well (we all worked together at one point!) and I can't see it.

I accept it will have to happen one day but I don't think I am ready for it yet.

Thanks again.
