My ex is coming to see his daughter (3) this weekend, he hasn't been to see her for 5 weeks (his choice). I have just phoned him to ask where he is (I've made plans for this evening) and he is still on the M1!! He has at least another 2 and half hours to go??

What is making me so angry is he has been off all day and he chose to leave for what potentially can be a six/seven hour trip at TWO PM!! Angry WTF!

So I've now got a very tired 3 year old who is already asking to go to bed? And I've had to cancel my plans to, so now don't know whether to put her to bed or not??

He is such an inconsiderate arse and makes so angry with how disorganised he is! I've not had a break for 5 weeks now and was looking forward to catching up with some friends Sad

So do I tell him she's in bed and come back tomorrow or try to keep her up??

HELP?

Do what's best for your daughter...if she's tired, let her go to bed. She can see him tomorrow.

Can your friends come round to your place instead?

ditto lilac.
The only thing is if she stays awake and is grumply, where is he taking her?
Is he staying at yours so he will have to put her to bed? That might let him know what an arse he is to her.
But that's not to say to do that to your dd.

She's in bed fast asleep, I've told him to collect her at 8am and don't be late!

He would have been taking her to a Travelodge, so would have had to carry her in asleep and in the cold, not on?

Well done for taking a stand. He will have to buck up or end up not spending the time he wants with her.
You can now get your dd excited in the morning straightaway can't you.
