Anyone had SS involvement after DV relationship?

Before ex left he attacked me and I called the police. They removed him and one of his bail conditions was not to come back to the address. The police informed SS and we had a visit. The visit went well and the SW said she had no concerns at all, but I have never heard anything since despite being told I would receieve a copy of her report in due course.

Did anyone who has been through this get a copy of the report and if not did you contact them and ask for one? Its been a while but I don't like the idea of this report floating around that I have not seen.

I had similar here, she never got back in contact with me, and I never got a copy of the report. I wasnt bothered, I knew that they had no grounds to worry about my parenting, ex was the problem and he was gone.

You can make a request under the Data Protection Act for the report. Check for a model letter on the Information Commissioner website. You also have the right to challenge/correct any inaccurate information in the report.

Tootired the SW is possibly very behind with her paperwork! you can call the office and request a copy; you will either speed up her assessment writing process, or she will have forgotten to send it.

glad you got out of the relationship :)

Should be okay. All I ever got was a letter saying that there were no concerns and the file was being closed.

Hi Tootired,

I'm a SW - just contact the office and ask for a copy. She probably just forgot to send it out - and any of her colleagues will be able to do it for you.
