So on the second message he stars calling me "hun" and "honey". Is this usual?

Forgive my ignorance as I am new to this online dating stuff. Is this a bit OTT of him - I don't feel comfortable with it. He asks "what's your real name honey". Hmmm - not convinced. I am generally repling to all messages as I like to give everyone a chance.

Yeah! That's what I am feeling - thanks for that. It just all feels a bit OTT. He works in a local garage he tells me so might go and see if I can spot him. I look completely different from my photo as my hair has been cut and coloured since I posted the photo so am safe in the knowledge he will not recognise me.

it wouldn't bother me personally but it does bother some of the ladies on Fit and Interesting thread - which discusses online dating. Do come over honey Grin

I posted on that saying someone had called me sausage {hmm}

I suppose it makes it a bit more informal and softer sounding if a question is ended with a generic term of endearment even if they don't know you. I think its a man's attempt to do that and I don't really read too much into it.

Perhaps I am a bit jaded with it all but I rarely reply to any emails only if they really catch my eye.

LOVE your name!

Some people just do that. I have a mate who calls everyone that, it wouldn't occur to him not to tbh
