Tax credits count as income for letting a house?

in process of signing up for this but will be well over a month. I want to be able to let a house but I need tax credits to be able to count toward "total" income as childminding covers half of what will be needed.

I've googled and asked the tax credit people but they have no idea.

Any idea?

I dont understand do you want to let out a house ? or are you planning on renting one ands need TC to count towards income ?. I know when I've looked into credit they have sort of scoffed at Tax Credits as income Hmm

Yes, sorry I need to rent somewhere and the estate agent wasn't sure if TC counted as income. If not, then frankly... I am in trouble.

do you have a parent or someone else who could act as a guarantor?

as long as they know the rent will be paid they should be happy to rent to you.

No sadly not, am American under indefinite leave to remain. A friend confirmed that it should count, well that's one thing!

I looked into renting and the estate agent told me that tax credits count but child benefit doesn't.
