You won't feel like this forever ... there

You ever tried to live with a teenager [evil laugh emoticon]

My house usually feels empty big and urrrgh messy.

It won't last for ever. The trick is to do things for yourself that you couldn't do (or not without huge effort) when your children are there. You also need to remember that loneparenting is 24/7 - if parents live together they can give each other 'time off' each day or week. You NEED this time, even though it feels horrible.
My daughter is 14 and we have been 'on our own' since she was about 18months old. Her father is very supportive and a good dad (just a crap husband Smile) so I have no worries wehen she is there. I have come to enjoy the time, while still missing her IYSWIM.

I relish my time alone, you will enjoy it more when you get used to it and the worst of the upheaval is over.

thanks guys, nearly finished now, and yes when I get used to it I will get to enjoy the peace! Ex is a good dad, so I know they will be fine and have a great time, yesterday just dragged lol !! got busy day today moving, and will be closer to family once there :)

Got another 7 days of this yet so.. chin up and keep going I suppose ...

Right off to start packing the kitchen :(
