Toddler switch to big bed - but what about my privacy?

Maybe silly question....but...how do you maintain your privacy in the evenings once toddler moves to a proper bed?

So far it's been a breeze - dd has always slept right through, and I've been able to start a new relationship in the comfort of my home, knowing she won't walk in on me! But I've been delaying the trip to ikea to buy her bed, because I'm scared of the consequences.

Once she discovers the art of wandering out of a proper bed, how do I prevent her from seeing things I don't want her to? I want to protect her of course. I need to keep my private life private, for her own sake.

Any tips?

Thanks!

you put a gate on her bedroom door.

I did that, but my daughter looked like someone out of Prisoner in Cell Block H!

How about a lock for your bedroom door? Nothing heavy just one of those little ones you can get from b&q etc. Put it high on the door to avoid her from locking herself in!

I was worried about my DD starting to wander around but actually she stayed in her bed until I came in in the morning so it wasn't a problem
