How much should XP pass us?

Hi girls, XP and I recently split after 10 years (hear that? It's my youth going down the toilet...). Aaanyway, now I'm looking for another place to live in London with DD. You know, overpriced houses, and everything is terribly expensive. My question is: if he earns around 1700pcm after taxes, how much do you think it would be fair that he passes us? He already offered 500pcm.

BTW, I don't work, (or yes I do, but I dedicate all my time to look after DD). I'll soon be claiming as many benefits as I can in order to support us. :-/

Sorry I was being ironic... I don't work OUT of the house, is what I meant, but I do work a lot as a mother. I know you got it the first time, but just wanted to make it clear.

CSA guidance here, I worked it out at about £260 per month based on your OP.

Wow! That was fast! Thanks Marion Then I should be very happy with what he's passing us.

Assuming he sticks with paying that once he sees what his own bills etc are.
Make sure he is definitely going to pay that amount before you find yourself somewhere and then can't afford to keep it.

Also if your dc stay overnight then the calculation is reduced by 1/7th for each overnight per week on average they stay with him.

Even with the best intentions in the world you may find he can't actually afford to pay the amount he has said he will and then he too will look at what he actually has to pay and reduce his offer accordingly.
