Bounds Green schools

Hi all,

We are considering moving to Bounds Green. We are looking at houses in that area because there are some nice Victorian and Edwardian properties within our budget, it has a tube and is relatively close to areas we know and like but can’t afford to buy in.

I wondered if anyone has any information about schools in the Bounds Green area? Primary schools like Bowes and Bounds Green seem to be rated outstanding. Does anyone have experience of those please? Also with regards to secondary, I would appreciate thoughts. It’s not exactly clear to me which secondary schools children would get into from Bounds Green, other than Laurel which appears to be rated good but I think it’s new? Otherwise would it be church or grammar? There are some outstanding schools like Alexandra Park but I think it would be highly unlikely children could attend those from as far away as Bounds Green.

you may be better of posting in the Bounds Green Facebook pages Also visiting the schools should give you an idea of the type of demographic there as well as handing around st school pick up time to see the type of parents. Being in the catchment area of a very good secondary is extremely important in London (we have moved twice for schools)
