I'm racking my brains to think of a way(s) to occupy 3 active kids this Monday. Centralish preferred, all mobile, no SEN.

They older kids have done Twist Museum and enjoyed it, but I am drawing a blank as im used to entertaining the 2 year old!

We'll have at least 3 mobile adults supervising...

V&A children's museum in Bethnal Green? I haven't been since it was refurbished, but it used to have a lot of interactive displays and interesting things for adults and kids. In school holidays they do various activities other than just the museum, but you might need to check what's on in case you need to pre-book.

Its a 15min walk to Victoria park where you can feed the ducks, walk around the lakes, various play ground areas and take a picnic. www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/lgnl/leisure_and_culture/parks_and_open_spaces/victoria_park/victoria_park.aspx

Thank you! I was hoping for something not so far East, but we do like it there.

Imagine festival at Southbank?

Davros · 12/02/2026 14:11

I didn’t like the V&A children’s museum when I went there a few years ago on DD’s school outing , I thought it was boring. How about the London Transport Museum? Babylon Park in Camden? Madame Tussaud’s which we found surprisingly entertaining. Maybe I’m not a good gauge of these things

Science museum Wonderlab?

Justploddingonandon · 12/02/2026 14:24

Science museum will be great for them all, the two year old would love the little play area in the basement, I can usually find at least one gallery mine are all interested in. Wonderlab is worth the price if you can get a slot (maybe not for the 2 year old, can't remember if you have to pay for under 3s).
Or London Transport Museum will probably keep them all happy as there's lots of interactive stuff.

Weather currently looks ok in the morning. Maybe Battersea Park in the morning and then head to the Power Station when the weather turns? Sometimes there are temporary kids’ workshops in holidays, it looks like they have a “make a solar system mobile” one on Monday, and a pop up Planetarium. And the glass lift!
