Restaurant recommendations for lunch

Looking for a nice place to go with my mum, would prefer mid pricing rather than £200 lunch. We like Brasserie Zedel , somewhere that has some character and doesn’t feel crazy busy where you are being pushed out or sitting on a shared bench. A nice leisurely lunch somewhere attractive! What do you think? Thanks

Should say we don’t drink too so wine menu etc not important

What's your approximate budget? I have always been impressed with the food, service and nicely buzzy atmsophere at Bocca di Lupo in Soho. Modern Italian.

I mean… my mum will want to treat me as it’s my birthday but I would prefer she doesn’t spend more than £125 on a lunch… we usually only have a main and dessert and no wine.

Bocca du lupo does not fit the brief!

Hands down...
Delauny or the Ivy (the OG not one of their shitty chains) both are 5 out of 5 brasseries with flawless service.

With no booze you'll get a very nice meal for that price at either.

Wild care suggestion: Rules
Food is also fab here but heavier

Delauney is Aldwych right? I think I used to go there in my early career for work lunches. Yes I think she will like that.

I have been to Bocca di Lupo, I find it a bit frantic… I am only in my 30s but I find some places a bit overstimulating I like a more leisurely atmosphere 😂

La Chapelle has a great toast and taste menu on at the moment, £49 per person. Restaurant feels pretty special and definitely not rushed. Close to Liverpool Street.

If it’s during the week many off the top notch celeb chef places have really good value set lunch menus.
