How easy is it to catch the 83 bus after a Wembley gig?

Going to see Oasis on Sunday 3rd August.

We’re staying at Hendon on the 83 bus route.

Stressing that I won’t be able to find the bus stop after the gig and I’ve also read that roads are often closed when there’s a big event on, so buses are diverted.

Leaving early and making a run for it, isn’t an option. I’ll have my ASD teen in tow and her walking pace is slow, plus she’ll want to stay til the bitter end!

Accommodation is non-refundable, so switching to somewhere closer isn’t an option. I’m now kicking myself for not staying closer. TIA

I am not from London but looking at the TFL time tables for the 83 and the N83 the 83 is every 10 to 12 minutes and the N83 is every half hour. I am assuming they are the same route.

The large stadium gigs I have been to ( never Wembley) normally about an hour after the stadium empties things begin to return to normal.

What time is the last bus and what time does the gig finish? It can take a LONG time to get out of these massive events.

It’s a nightmare. There is big diversion in place for events, I was there for Dua Lipa a couple of weeks ago and we walked for 30 mins to the 83 bus stop and waited for 30 mins for a bus before we gave up and got an uber

They lay on extra tubes to get everyone out, I would suggest getting the jubilee to West Hampstead and then the Thames link to Hendon.
or just chill for an hour and then go for the bus…

The thing with the tubes are that there are big queues, crowds, but it is well managed, you all keep shuffling along and it goes quicker than you expect.

Finishes at 10:30pm, last bus is at midnight. With the diversions etc that @coffeeagogo describes I think we will give the bus a miss!

Thank you @allgrownupnow that’s exactly what I needed to hear! Happy with queues and plodding along as long as we’re going in the right direction, so the tube it is.

Ooh yes I wouldn’t want to rely on that.
