Taking DS 5 for a day out/ stay over in London this Friday and wondered if anyone has any recs or hidden gems we could take him to. Was planning on going on a bus and maybe the clipper. We've done the London eye before and the main attractions so just looking for any cool ideas really. Thanks in advance!

The weather looks ok-ish. The Postal Museum is great for kids and surprisingly engaging. The London Transport Museum ditto. I would save The Tower of London for a sunny day but it is great. DD loved the British Museum but we always had to see the cat mummies.

@Davros yes I've taken him to the postal museum before, always highly recommend to people as it was such a hidden gem we had a great afternoon out there. Haven't done the transport museum for a while actually so that's a good shout. He absolutely loved that balloon museum which was on a few years back and always asks to go back there, such a shame it was a pop up!

My 6 year old loved Bubble Planet - it's at Wembley. Bit annoying to get too depending on where you are coming from but he's asking to go back!

You're already ahead of me! I'll have another think...

Greenwich is always a hit - Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum (with a newish playground too) and the park has a great playground.

@Imenti I'll have to take him another time definitely. We're staying in central london so don't think it will work this time but thank you for the suggestion
