Help with areas

So I am going to be moving to London on my own in a few months and need advice as to which area to rent in. I will be looking for a 1-2 bed flat, potentially a large studio but would prefer a separate bedroom. I need it to be in a safe area with good transport links into central London. I have an absolute max budget of £2000 pcm. Suggestions really appreciated.

Where will you work? Look on a direct line

There are plenty of safe areas where you can get a one bedroom flat for that budget. Can you narrow it down a bit? Do you have any friends or family in London, where do they live? Will you be commuting to a particular area regularly?

Agree with pp. I'd start off with north London but need a bit more detail. What kind of things would you like to be doing on the weekend so we can see if that guides you somewhere.

I wfh but will need to attend events all over London. No family or friends in London. I like the gym, walking, creative stuff like writing, the arts etc
