Hi everyone.

We (some kids and adults) are coming to London for an event, arriving about lunchtime Saturday into King's Cross. We are staying in Wembley for an event Saturday night. Does anyone have any suggestions about free or low cost things we can do before the event, and the next day. Our train home is evening time from King's Cross.

I have a tendency to over-plan and think I can travel all over!

Depending on what happening at the stadium on the days that you're there I can recommend a stadium tour if you want to stay in the Wembley area. Otherwise it's 15 mins into central London from Wembley Park station on the Metropolitan Line. I'd maybe go for a whistle stop sightseeing tour - get the Met line in Farringdon. Walk towards St Paul's, cross Thames in Millennnium Bridge, see the Globe, Tate Modern, walk down the South Bank to London Eye, cross Westminster bridge to Parliament then either through the park to Buck House, then back down Piccadilly to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden or straight down past the cenotaph to Trafalgar Square and into Covent Garden and Soho that way. Will be a nice afternoon's walk and you'll see all the touristy bits.
