I am 45 yo, never been too much into make up or grooming. I just had an amazing skin consultation and started a new skin care routine which is making me feel great. I’d love to get better at make up. There Loads of classes available and I am not sure where to start.
Any recommendations for a place where I can book 1-2 hour session where they show me the basis for every day make up and is suitable for middle aged women who do not want to look like influencers?

Charlotte Tilbury at Covent Garden. Or any Bobbi Brown counter / shop

They never advertise so are not so widely known Ive been going to Laura for years and had everything I've ever known about makeup totally personalised for me. I don't really wear much but love how well it works just for me.

Totally worth taking a day off work to visit.

Thank you! I am looking for something a bit more personal that a make up over the counter in the middle of a shop. I don’t mind have to buy products. Is Charlotte Tirbury done in a separate room?
ideally I am looking for someone who is more of a consultant and uses more products so they can think what is best for my skin rather then just one brand.

Sounds like you need a MUA if you want a private session - maybe ask someone who has recently had makeup done for a wedding or some such for a recommendation

I would also love this OP but like you I want someone independent rather than just one brand.

There used to be someone at Fenwicks who did this but it stopped a few years back.

Watching for any recommendations

What is a MUA?
I don’t know anyone who recently married or had their make up done, that’s why I am asking here. hoping someone has done and can recommend.
