Hi, I've been living in E10 for the last 16 months (Clapton / Leyton area) and it's a bit noisy but I've got a good friend here and there's Blok Clapton which I love. I just found a place in Muswell Hill, it's quiet and has a bath tub (things I don't have where I am currently). Am I making the right move? I don't really know anyone in Muswell Hill, not sure about the gyms here like Blok, but curious for any of those that made the move from east to north, how was it for you? I walk a lot to Vicky park, broadway market, just some favs. Don't know anything about North London really ..... HELP! Got to make a decision!

You'll be miles from a tube station so if that's important to you then I'd have a re-think. Crouch End/Muswell Hill have some nice areas and you'll be fairly close to Ally Pally which is lovely, but also means you'll be close to Wood Green and Turnpike Lane which are...less than lovely.

I think MH is quite boring and very "un-Londony". Because it's up on a hill and has no tube it feels quite provincial. I think that's why lots of non-Londoners like it, because it's more like where they come from 😹 How about Finchley or Archway?

I once moved from Hackney to Crouch End ( not a million miles away) and it was the most miserable experience. It’s family friendly
