Hello, looking for recommendations for activities for 16 yr olds. Visiting London for the first time. Not zoo, London Eye, River trip or shopping. Maybe something immersive?
Thank you 💕

Really depends what they're into - I would've loved to see a musical at that age and there are plenty depending on preferences.

Immersive art exhibitions are a big hit at the moment and I believe there are a few. A friend went to the Van Gogh one recently and loved it.

Depending on budget and again, preference, there's plenty of nice/quirky restaurants around. I've taken a friends daughter that age to Sketch and The Ivy and she loved both.

Chinatown has a great vibe and lots of the ever popular bubble teas 😂 Great for a browse/wander around and central enough to tag onto another event during the day.

Tower of London?

If it's their first time I would go to London specific things like Tower of London and see famous sites like Trafalgar Square etc.
Go on the tube for the experience.
Do you have any historical links with London (ie Granny was born in Shoreditch or somewhere) and you could go and explore the area.
Or favourite books/films/tv that you could go where they're set.

Definitely the dungeons very suitable & interactive for 16year olds

If you want an immersive art experience then Frameless by Marble Arch was good. There are 4 rooms with different art styles and they cycle through paintings taking about 20 mins each. But the paintings move and are all around you.

I also have Paradox and Twist Museum on my future visits list. They are both optical illusion galleries. Not been yet as both look a bit overpriced.

As a teen I quite enjoyed Tate Modern but more because the exhibits were "weird" as me and my uncultured friends used to think 😁.

London dungeons if she likes being scared. Not been in years but it was Jack the ripper themed with actors who jump out etc.

Does he skate? Graffiti tunnels and skate park on south bank.

Up at Battersea Power Station.
