The view from the Shard and eating at Aqua

I'm trying to plan a trip to London and i'm thinking of booking the Aqua restaurant for lunch, but also want to visit the viewing platforms at the top. Does anyone know if I have to book seperate tickets for 'The view from the Shard' or does eating in one of the restaurant's automatically mean you can go up to the top viewing platforms? Website doesn't seem to be providing many answers TIA

I don’t think you can, no.

You know what you want from the trip but depending on what floor AQUA is on, you might not benefit that much from paying to go to the viewing platform a few floors higher.

Also worth bearing in mind that the Skygarden has a free viewing platform although you do have to book.
