Could someone help me with accomodation.

Morning,
We have a hospital appointment at the Maudsley Hospital coming up for my teenager. We are travelling a long way so will arrive the day before. Could anyone recommend where would be a good place to stay that we can travel easily there, we have to be there quite early in the morning. We don't have a car as travelling by train.
I don't know London well at all, I've tried to do some research but could do with some advice.

There's a Travelodge at Clapham Junction. You can get a train from there to Denmark Hill Station. Or there are hotels at either Brixton or Peckham which you could walk in 30 mins or get a bus.
