I'm getting conflicting information online about which tube line to take. One is telling me piccadilly straight there, another is giving me 2 other options with changes.

I'm a bit useless and will have dc with me so like to know in advance! Thanks.

Go on Piccadilly

Ambivax · 22/02/2024 21:54

Yes it’s the Piccadilly line to South Kensington then exit via the tunnel and follow the signs - it will be very easy!

ReadingLight · 22/02/2024 21:54

Just go on the Piccadilly if you don’t want to schlep the children around changing lines.

Piccadilly line from Kings Cross to South Kensington. Easy. Then from SK you can either walk to the museums at street level or there’s a tunnel straight from the ticket hall to Exhibition Road where the museums are.

Thank you, yes, I did use Google maps. But also the rail planner thing.

Piccadilly line. No change. Follow signs for the tunnel to museums when you exit.

That’s easy. Take the Piccadilly Line (the dark blue one) straight to South Kensington, then it’s 5 mins walk.

If there is a ‘Getting There’ page on the museum website you will usually find good info there. Piccadilly and tunnel is the way to go

You’re probably getting different options because the route with the changes can be a bit faster if you haven’t got kids with you, but straight down on Piccadilly is much simpler.
