Having just returned from a trip to London (did Imperial War Museum and Science Museum) we are keen to go again soon but do more kid-centred attractions (free or cheap). Does anyone have any recommendations? I found the IWN and SM to be a bit more adult focused and would like something a bit more engaging for our 5 and 3 year old Smile

What do they like?

Mine liked the Natural History Museum the most accept the crowds. Heard good things about the Diana playground. Loved going on the Docklands Light Railway and the cable car, or a riverbus trip. Or just going around on the top deck of a bus to see things!

They like anything that is a bit more tactile than items behind glass in exhibits Smile

You could visit the Hackney City Farm which is near the museum

The Postal Museum is really good, and has lots of hands on stuff, and a little ride on an underground mail train

Also it's near Coram's Fields, which is a playground where no adult can enter without a child
