Just got back from work, to an empty home.
I wish I had someone to come home to.
Not sad. Just sharing my thoughts.

The grass is always greener .. I've come home to DH and (adult) DS .. I dream of coming home to an empty, quiet house and choosing how to spend my evening without endless 'compromising'.

It’s a weird thing living alone. I loved it but sometimes you just want someone about when you get it.

Do you want to tell us about your day op?

I lived alone for years. Sometimes its wonderful, a lot of the time its lonely and isolating. Hand hold op.
Keep posting here, there's always folk around.

Hi @homealonenow
How was work today? Did you get to go outside at lunch time, the weather was so nice.

Thank you for the reality check :)
I won't mind having a partner and a kid in my space though.

I had a lovely day outside of my home. I went to a conference and met really brilliant people. It was great to share ideas and listen to people's perspectives.
After 9 hours, most people were saying their goodbyes highlighting the need to get home to the family. I didn't want to leave :)
There's nothing to get to at home. And I like it on some days, not so much today!

Hi @homealonenow

Work was great today, spent at a conference. I didn't see much of the sun as I was at the even the whole day. I've lived alone since I was 15. I'm now in my late 30s. It'd be nice to share life with someone/ people.

I can totally relate. I feel the same way every day.
Not depressed, not needing anyone for anything.
Would be nice to have company though.

Have you got outdoor space at home op? Being outdoors is great.. Even befriended a little bird last summer..

No. I live in London, in a tiny flat. To get outdoors, I must leave the house. I'd love to have a pet, but my living arrangement can't accommodate them.
