Hi not sure if this is a helpful/relevant post but I came across it and it seems like it could be a perfect job for a nurse who is finding going back to NHS work difficult with children. I am a TA so am just wishing I had the right qualifications to apply myself 😆

They are offering 24-27K per year and as it's term time only you get paid to have all the school holidays off!! Anyway if it's of interest this is the link to the ad I found: https://www.fejobs.com/job/college-nurse-1285496

I hope this is helpful 💌

Oo that sounds fab. But it pays much less than the NHS. Although 17 weeks holiday would make up for that.

That’s what I thought too, with that much holiday the hourly rate must work out more, also as the summer hols would be like 8 weeks at least so good chance to do some bank/locum work if extra money is needed.

I can't edit my post but I have just seen that the salary on this role has increased by £10K - They are now offering £34-37K per year and it's not pro rata despite it being Term time only!!

I am only a student nurse so not yet qualified for this role but really wish I was, would be perfect around my daughter

private schools often have these kind of roles. TBH though if you are only qualifying now you would probably be better off getting some experience before taking a role like that. I was offered a post in a private school but it looked very lonely no peer support especially as a newly qualified nurse.
Have a look at community nursing they are often very accommodating for staff with children
