Moving to Romford area

We are choosing between Carlton Road (train line at the back of the back garden), Heath Park Road or off Brentwood Road in Romford. Can anybody recommend which is nicer of those (or any additional areas), concerned with safety, walking distance to a train/underground station and shops. Want the area to be nice part of Romford, safe, low/no crime and clean. Cheers!

Sorry, OP, Romford is neither nice, nor clean, nor low in crime.

Try Gidea Park or Upminster.

Why?

@SpikyHatePotato how do you know that the op's budget can stretch to gidea park or Upminster? Surely if it could then Romford would have never been a choice !!!

I think Heath Park Road, Brentwood Road and Carlton Road are in Gidea Park. I put Romford because Gidea Park is in Romford, I will update.

Depending which end of those roads you are looking at you will be no more than 10/15 minutes walk away from either Romford or Gidea Park station. Nearest underground station is probably Upminster/Upminster bridge but you can get to Elm Park easily.
You will be about 10-15 minutes walking distance of Romford Town centre (less than 5 minutes from one end of Carlton Road) and there are frequent buses to Romford or Upminster. There are also shops in Gidea park and its easy to get to Hornchurch or Upminster high street for shops.

Heath Park Road and Brentwood Road are on fairly busy bus routes and both have schools on route. Cartlon Road is quieter. You need to view Carlton Road at peak travel times to check out any Railway noise.
