I have a day to myself next Tuesday (which is a rarity) i plan on going to London for the day. Something I haven't done since having children.
Part of me wants a really planned day doing lots, the other part is just craving a wander around a museum or two and a leisurely lunch. I wont arrive until 10am after the school run and jumping on a train.

However i am drawing a blank at what to do/where to go...
I am drawn to the old operating theatre, so maybe there.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

I'd spend an hour fondling all of the Christmas decorations in Liberty, before deciding on just 2 or 3 to buy

Ditto the biscuits in F&M

Maybe the Royal Academy if there's anything on

The Old Operating Theatre is worth a visit, but the area generally stresses me out - so busy and so much traffic. It's not somewhere I'd enjoy mooching.
