London restaurants where you can dine as a group of 14

West end ideally. We don't want a private dining room, ideally want to dine in the restaurant itself. Somewhere nice, luxe ideally, but that seems to be the problem really, places like the Ivy, Wolesley etc are all limited to 6 or 8 per table. Any suggestions very (very!) welcome.

Have you called and asked them directly? It could be that that’s the online booking limit but they would allow more if a reservation was taken on the phone.

Tried calling around a load today. Max 6 or 8 in most places. I just don't get it. Where do groups of birthdays etc go? Surely there are places in nice restaurants without having to go down the private dining room option? There will be 12-14 of us. I just don't get it!

Not the West End but a group of 12 of us had dinner at the Ned in the city - different restaurants available there.

Or Hakkasan Hanway Place (just off Tottenham Court Rd) is lovely and sits large tables.

Cinnamon Club?

Maybe if you call they are more flexible

The Savoy Grill does a long table at one side of the restaurant. Quaglinos also does long tables. The cafe royal has a max table of 14 - or did before covid anyway.

I’m pretty sure Smith & Wollensky do large tables if you like good steak (pretty expensive but a nice restaurant)
