Hi, I'll be visiting London for 5 days in august. I'll be based in Shortlands (I think this is zone 4) and want to travel into London each day. What is the best option?

Pay using contactless on a card unless you will do lots of travel and so might want a weekly travel card or similar

Probably use train to get into town, but download Citymapper to figure out your route and let you know about any problems

This will also help you navigate when you're in town

Have fun

Maybe make sure Uber or a similar taxi app are on your phone, just in case

Thank you, have just downloaded Citymapper.
Do I need to get an Oyster card to get cheaper transport?

It's the same price with a contactless card. Just make sure you touch out at the end of your journey.

Just use your bank card if contact less

You don't need to touch out of a bus. Only a train or overground/ tube.
