Hi Londoners.

I'm hoping to run this next year along with DH. From what I can work out it starts near Tower Bridge (I could be very wrong about this so please do correct me if I am). I do not know London at all. I'm wondering which areas I should look to book which do not have a large commute to the start line. The obvious is Tower Hotel but there may be nicer ones I'm over looking because my geographical knowledge of the area is non existent!

We will be staying the night before and after. Not worried about getting back after the run, just anxious about not being too far from the start. Tower Hotel coming in at about 400stg for both nights with breakfast so happy to pay similar. They also have baths in the room so that's a win but not obligatory. It needs to offer a refundable fee if we aren't successful in the ballot or one of us ends up injured (again).

Any advice would be greatly received. Thank you

I think you are wrong about start/finish

llhm.co.uk/

Map shows it starts/finishes near Trafalgar Square. (It's The Big Half which is by Tower Bridge)

The Premier Inn at the London Eye would be a good place to stay - just a short stroll over the river.

Good luck in the ballot!

Thank you. Didn't actually realise the start and finish were together... Luckily I won't be winning so I won't have to work out the route, can just follow 😂
Premier Inn sounds great.
