Quiet places in Farringdon or near - meeting DF for first time in 30 years

So I'm meeting my estranged "D"F for the first time in 30 years and need to sort out where. Farringdon seems a good location logistically but I don't know the area. Any tips appreciated.

Vegan friendly and quiet would be the ideal, but coffee shop is also ok

There's a nice branch of Mildreds in Kings Cross, so close to Farringdon.

I'd look at the menu at granger and Co in Clerkenwell and see if that works? Good luck. Will think if I can think of others.

During the daytime?

I'd recommend the cafe at The Crypt of St Etheldreda's - the bleeding heart bistro used to also do the food there. Double check my facts though as its been a while since I went there.

Stem and Glory!!! I knew I had another place somewhere in my mind. That should be good for vegan. The Barts branch.

Granger & Co is lovely for brunch.
