Has anyone bid for a council property whilst living in a private rented property? When would the best time to bid be? I wouldn't want to bid too early for me to not be able to take the property because my tenancy is for another 10 months. On the other hand if you don't bid for a certain amount of months I was informed you can lose your place on the housing register.
