Hi, I'm looking to move to Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire with my husband and three year old. I've lived in central London for the last 15 years. I don't really want to leave but we can't afford a house in our area. I want the M1 and M40 to be conveniently close so that I can drive to Wales quickly if needed with an ageing mum living there, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend family friendly areas to consider. Ideally, I want 30 mins or less to London, good schools for my daughter, but not too rural. I'm going to miss the London vibe so somewhere that still feels like London would be amazing but I appreciate difficult. Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone can recommend areas I can look into.
