Kings X to Heathrow

Hi everyone! I need to ask for the collective wisdom of London Mumsnetters about transport. On Tuesday next week I'll be coming into Kings X by train, and need to continue by tube to Heathrow. Does anyone know the easiest way to do this, bearing in mind I will be towing a large heavy suitcase. It will be around lunchtime, so not rush hour. Which route would anyone suggest to minimise train changes or steps? TIA

Piccadilly Line!

All the way?

Piccadilly, no changes!

All the way, just check which terminal to get off.

Easiest will be to switch directly to Piccadilly and sit on it all the way.

There are direct trains (Heathrow Express) from Paddington which would probably be faster but you'd have to take the Circle/Bakerloo/H&C to Paddington and buy another ticket.

Yep, Citymapper agrees: Piccadilly Line.
It also, helpfully, suggests that a catapult would only take a minute Smile

Was about to post the same - Piccadilly.

My only caveat is time of day.

I've lugged a medium sized suitcase in rush hour and it wasn't pleasant. Trying to squish it on the tube and navigate the busy walks to the platforms.

The Heathrow express is much faster and easier once you get there, but it's more expensive and you have to get to the circle line to Paddington.

If cash isn't an issue I'd be tempted to get a taxi to Paddington and then the Heathrow Express (which is what I did when travelling for work).

Brilliant! Thank you fellow Mumsnetters, I knew you were the best people to ask :)

Cash not an issue and in a hurry - taxi to Paddington and then Heathrow Express. is quickest and nicest by far.

Cash an issue and lots of time - just sit on the Piccadilly line until you get there. Not great but you will not be the only one and you only have to move your suitcase the once. Allow lots of time though.

I have tube travel to Heathrow included in my rail ticket, so I'll probably stick to that. Thanks all!
